Sans réelle surprise, le FMX 2020 prévu pour ce printemps à Stuttgart, en Allemagne, annonce lui aussi son annulation.
Il ne s’agit pas d’un report à une date indéfinie mais bien d’une annulation pure et simple ; les billets déjà commandés seront automatiquement remboursés (ne les annulez pas vous-mêmes, vous éviterez les frais d’annulation classiques).
Dans le communiqué officiel visible ci-dessous, l’organisation annonce par contre une édition 2021, du 4 au 7 mai.
Cancellation of FMX 2020
Dear partners, guests, speakers and visitors,
It is with great regret that we have to inform you that this year’s FMX, scheduled for May 5 to 8, 2020, cannot take place due to the continuing global spreading of the coronavirus.
Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg is acting upon the current guidelines of the Robert Koch-Institut for the risk assessment of large-scale events. After consultation, the Office for Public Order of Stuttgart considers the decision to cancel FMX as being plausible in the light of infection prevention.
Taking this step has been very difficult for us but necessary as the health of our international and national partners, guests, speakers, visitors, and team members is our highest priority.
We hope for your understanding and look forward to welcoming you at the 25th anniversary edition of FMX from May 4 to 7, 2021, in Stuttgart.
