Disney-Pixar just unveiled a new trailer for their upcoming animated film, Lightyear. This new addition to the Toy Story franchise will explore the origin story of the real Buzz Lightyear, who inspired the toy.
In this new trailer, we learn more about the backstory of Buzz and a scientific experiment. Followed by a cute robot cat, it seems that Buzz Lightyear is about to have a dangerous encounter…
Lightyear will be available on June 17, 2022. It should be noted that Disney-Pixar does not explicitely states how or where: we can speculate that the studio hasn’t decided yet if the movie will have a theatrical release, if it will available on Disney+, or both. Turning Red, which will be released on March 11, will only be available on Disney+.
