Mickael Riciotti (alias MikeCG sur le forum) nous présente sa nouvelle démoreel lighting et compositing.
Il faisait jusqu’ici partie de la Dreamworks Dedicated Unit, en Inde. Il a décidé de revenir en France et recherche donc un poste correspondant à ses compétences, dans le secteur de l’animation.
Mickael Riciotti a notamment travaillé sur Madagacar 3, Les Cinq Légendes et recemment sur Peabody & Sherman, prochain long-métrage du studio.
Breakdown :
1. Rise of the Guardians (Dreamworks)
• Built Lighting/Nuke-rigs for each shot (Tooth Collection sequence)
• supported the leads by creating the Light/Nuke-Rig for the Bunny character (Spring Park sequence)
• Optimized render times and troubleshoot shots
• Composited all the render passes in Nuke & create final image
2. Madagascar 3 (Dreamworks)
• Used the sequence Rig and modified it to light each shot and keep continuity
• Rebuilt light-rig for one-off shots (closeup on the hands and following shot)
• Optimized render-times and troubleshoot shots
• Composited all the render passes in Nuke & create final image
3. Medusa (Personal Project)
• This is a test shot I did for a collaborative short-film project based on concept arts by illustrator Tim Lamb (https://timothylamb.tumblr.com/)

4. « Flow my tears, the policeman said » (Personal Project)
• My submission to the CG contest by french forum 3DVF (3dvf.com) called « The universes of Phillip K Dick ».
I chose a scene from the novel called « Flow my tears, the policeman said » where a policeman awkwardly expresses his love to a stanger in a petrol station.

5. Tuurngait (Graduation short film)
• I worked on this short film for a year with 4 teammates. Here are my tasks on this project:
• Character & environment designs
• Color-script
• Character modeling (kid) / Character shading (bird)
• Environment modeling and shading
• Lighting
Il a également profité de son retour en France pour retravailler l’image qu’il avait réalisée pour le concours 3DVF sur Philip K. Dick, avec une approche plus photographique :
On pourra également consulter la version originale créée pour le concours 3DVF et le sujet de forum associé. 3DSMax, Vray et Nuke ont été utilisés.
