Bruno Lévêque nous présente sa nouvelle démoreel Environment TD | Digital Matte Painter | CG Generalist. On y retrouvera notamment son travail pour le futur film Les 4 Fantastiques, ainsi que son court étudiant Murphy.

BREAKDOWN:
00:02 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Texture/Asset TD] Responsible for all the texturing part (+700 maps for +50 different assets, done in Mari with a mix of texture/procedural) of all the rock assets in this sequence, as well as a good part of the modeling/sculpting.
00:07 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Texture TD] Responsible for the texturing of the ground. Done in Mari with a mix of texture/procedural.
00:08 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Texture/Asset TD] Responsible for all the texturing part (+700 maps for +50 different assets, done in Mari with a mix of texture/procedural) of all the rock assets in this sequence, as well as a good part of the modeling/sculpting.
00:10 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[DMP] I didn’t work directly on these shots (trailer shots), but I did on a couple of very similar ones : Full DMP patches for the ground to enhance the lighting and match the plate.
00:13 – MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing) except a few props modelling (tents, vehicles). Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. Crowd Army was done with Golaem Crowd.
00:29 – MURPHY
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. I was in charge of layout, lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing.
00:31 – MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing). FullCG shot, combining animated and static render and matte-paint. Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles. I also did a quick setup/skin/animation of flying birds to bring life to the shot.
00:37 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[DMP] Created a 2.5D setup in Nuke to quickly provide enhanced wall’s lamp, as well as providing dirt/details passes for the walls.
00:39 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[DMP] I didn’t work directly on these shots (trailer shots), but I did on a couple of very similar ones : Full DMP patches for the ground to enhance the lighting and match the plate.
00:40 – MURPHY
Responsible for everything (from layout to final compositing). FullCG shot, combining environment rendered in Arnold, volumetric clouds rendered in MentalRay, 2D clouds added in Nuke, as well as stockshots. Trees were done in SpeedTree and instanced in Maya using nParticles.
00:42 – MURPHY
Creature Asset was done entirely by Xavier LAFARGE, and animated by Téo SAINTIER. I was in charge of layout, environment creation, lighting, render, matte-paint and compositing. Trees were done in SpeedTree. Grasses and others vegetation are mainly from vegetation libraries and were adapted to fit our needs.
00:49 – FANTASTIC FOUR
[Texture/Asset TD] Created (modeling, UVs, texturing) dozens of debris props (barrel, wood plank, pallet, concrete block, …) in a very short time due to the trailer delivery.
