Festival d’animation par ordinateur

Tea Time

Trailer Far Cry Primal La charge – Ubisoft
de Ivan GRBOVIC
Mikros image teamed up with Ivan Grbovic and production house Wanda & BETC agency for this new trailer who sets the hero in prehistoric times. Commencing with a scene of hightech modern warfare, the trailer follows a soldier’s experience anachronistically through the battlefields of time. He ultimately finds himself facing a saber-toothed tiger with nothing more than a bone in hand to fight for survival.

Doors
de  David-Alexandre Chanel et Romain Constant (THÉORIZ Studio)
Doors is a portal that takes on the middle ground between virtual and physical space. Sensors surrounding the structure of an actual door track visitors’ movements and change the portal on the screen’s perspective in an anamorphic system that adjusts to their visual angle in real time.

Exposition professionnelle

Videostitch
Orah 4i

Procedural Voronoi Foams for Additive Manufacturing
de Jonas Martinez, Jeremie Dumas, Sylvain Lefebvre (INRIA)
Microstructures at the scale of tens of microns change the physical properties of objects, making them lighter or more flexible. While traditionally difficult to produce, additive manufacturing now lets us physically realize such microstructures at low cost.

Real-Time Polygonal-Light Shading with Linearly Transformed Cosines
de Eric Heitz, Jonathan Dupuy (Unity Technologies), Stephen Hill (Ubisoft), David Neubelt (Ready At Dawn Studios)
Shading with area lights adds a great deal of realism to CG renders. However, it requires solving spherical equations that make it challenging for real-time rendering. In this project, we develop a new spherical distribution that allows us to shade physically based materials with polygonal lights in real-time.

Talk

Circle Tracing For Subsurface Scattering

Poster

OpenEXR/Id – Isolate any object with a perfect antialiasing
